Export services in Lithuania - overhead power line 330 kV Jurbarkas - Bitenai

Recently #EltelNetworksTeam has done a number of line works for our Lithuanian neighbours. We operated in the Taurag district, in its southern part, about 1.5 km from the border with the Kaliningrad area. We worked on a newly built 330 kV overhead power line that runs from Jurbarkas to Bitenai. 2 managers, 3 surveyors and 4-5 line brigades were involved in the task. The scope of our activities included:

• suspension of insulators
• assembly of working lines
• installation of the OPGW cable
• execution of current bridges
• installation of spacers and vibration dampers
• installation of bird diverters
• carting

We performed works on double-track lattice towers, from 86 to 114 tower. The length of this section is 11,039 m, in the border forest area. The weather conditions accompanying us were typical spring - from wind, through snow and rain, to full sun!
