Construction of the 110 kV Nowogard - Golczewo overhead power line

We are currently completing the construction of the second section of the 110 kV Nowogard - Golczewo overhead power line. The first section, Recław - Golczewo, was completed and connected in December 2021. The execution of the 110 kV Nowogard - Golczewo power line is at the level of approx. 90% of works. There are only a few foundations left to be built, a few lattice poles and a bit more tension, including a power pole at the site no. 8, located just above the nearby lake. During the execution of works, as is usually the case, we encountered certain issues, for example:

• the power line (in operation since 1938) ran through very difficult terrain - some of the column foundations were located near ditches, water reservoirs, where in many places the groundwater level did not allow for the excavation of foundations without the prior use of wellpoints with pumps,
• the supplier of materials "forgot" to galvanize the bolts for fastening the structure to the foundations,
• there was no access road for equipment weighing 30 tonnes on certain sections of the construction site (entry for vehicles over 10 tonnes was prohibited).

Each of these situations is a challenge for us, which we solve effectively and on time in order to implement the project in accordance with the terms of the contract with the investor.
