Live works - painting the 220 kV Polkowice - Leszno - Plewiska power line

We carry out live works on the 220 kV Polkowice - Leszno - Plewiska double-circuit overhead power line, the investor of which is PSE. Our task is to renew 282 power towers (straight and strong) and their foundations along the section of 123,5 km of the line length. There is a total of 100.000 m2 of surface to be painted. Towers and foundations should be renewed on average every 15 years to protect the structure of the power tower against corrosion and weather conditions, and the foundations against further degradation or damage.

The tasks of Eltel Networks include preparation of the work zone, i.e. fencing with red and white cloth tape, marking with warning boards (work zone, work at height, live equipment, etc.), securing insulators (installing protective canopies in the technology of working under voltage, installing tarpaulins protection at the switched off tracks), replacement of the marking of towers (aviation, phase, track, numbering and code, warning plates), replacement of damaged angles.

The subcontractor's brigade performs: cleaning of lattice tower structures, painting with primer (red) and surface paint (green), excavation and repair of foundations.
