Modernization of the 110 kV switchgear bays in Konin substation as part of the task "Modernization of the 220/110 kV Konin Substation"

The completion of a very difficult and demanding task, i.e. the modernization of the Konin substation in the R110 kV range, is approaching fast.

So far, as part of the works at the 220/110 kV Konin substation, we:

  • performed a complete set of electrical works consisting in adapting our own needs to the requirements of the NCER, starting the 6 kV line and starting the power generator
  • reconstructed field no. 10 in R110 kV GIS, which used to be a transformer field, and is currently operating as a field for the three-terminal 110 kV line Walcownia-ZUO-Konin (the line was laid and connected by another contractor)
  • rebuilt field no. 10 of the 110 kV AIS overhead switching gear and connected this bay with a 110 kV cable to bay no. 23 in GIS (at the same time reconstructing secondary circuits, control and monitoring system and general substation bays no. 23 in GIS 110 kV from the AT bay to the line bay) along with the launch of the connection
  • laid and commissioned twelve 110 kV cable lines in the GIS 110 kV, including 2 generator lines (Generator TRB5 and TRB4), 2 transformers for general needs of the Konin Power Plant together with the connection of the secondary circuits of these fields between the Power Plant and the Konin substation, as well as 7 lines from the gates of the heads to the 110 kV GIS from the Energa property line
  • performed, in accordance with the Terms of Reference, partial disassembly of the 110 kV overhead switchgear (18 R110 kV overhead switchgear bays in terms of foundations, structures, apparatus, busbars and control and signalling cables, including the disassembly of circular circuits between the dismantled bays)
  • carry out construction and sanitary works, e.g. construction of cable ducts to the power plant, drainage of GIS and technological buildings, sanitary works related to drainage of water from the area, as well as sanitary and water supply connections, and finishing of the building in terms of painting walls, replacement of parts of raised floors, replacement of coffers, construction of a ladder on roof, sealing expansion joints between the GIS and technological buildings and making a paving strip around the buildings, supplementing the missing railings of the stairs inside the building and railings of the loading ramps, launching the ventilation, air conditioning and SF6 detection systems
  • replaced the OPGW on the 110 kV Konin – Cienin power line, along with the reinforcement of the poles from the Konin substation to stand no. 8, and measurements of shock voltage and grounding of the poles at the stands resulting from the scope of the task.
