Repair of the 400 kV Rzeszów-Skawina-Tarnów overhead power line
In September, #EltelNetworksTeam received an order to repair a sudden failure on the 400 kV Rzeszów-Skawina-Tarnów overhead power line. Our task was to restore electricity to users as soon as possible.
The action began with the construction of an access road with an impressive length of approximately 1,000 meters, leading to pole No. 309 of the 400 kV overhead power line between Rzeszów-Skawina and Skawina-Tarnów. Before taking the main actions, we mulched the trees in the technological zone to create appropriate space for further work. Then, in this area, we built a special platform to set up the crane and the aerial work platform.
During intensive activities, #EltelNetworksTeam replaced:
- three parts of the construction
- two lightning protection towers
- six crossbars
- three sets of insulator chains
Additionally, to ensure stability and safety, we repaired the phase wires by installing repair braids. The work was completed on time and in accordance with the agreed schedule. On September 15, 2023, the 400 kV Rzeszów-Skawina-Tarnów power line was officially put into operation, and at 11:47 p.m. it passed voltage tests with a positive result.
