Installation works of telecommunication devices on 5G network masts in Sweden
We are proud to announce that our electricians are currently operating in Sweden on a pilot contract for the installation of telecommunications devices on 5G network masts.
The works are carried out in Kalmar, Kristianopel, Ramdala, Sturko and on the island of Gotland. We will install the new antennas mainly on tubular towers with a height of between 40-60 m, and a few will also be installed on the roofs of buildings. The first towers were located in an urbanized area, while the next one is to be located in a forest area. The implementation of the contracted tasks is in progress, but our biggest opponent in the performance of work is the weather - mainly strong wind, which makes it impossible to work at heights. The scope of work of Eltel Networks includes:
- disassembly of old antennas and cables from the control cabinet
- installation of new antennas and cables in the control cabinet of the newly installed equipment
- introduction of fibre optic cables to the control cabinet
- configuration of alarms, power supply, batteries (if they were replaced)
- making test calls to 112 to check whether the signal "passes" through the antennas correctly
- internet connection speed tests
- creating as-built documentation
