Construction of 400 kV Double Circuit Overhead Line Czarna-Pasikurowice
Since the end of 2018, we have been working on the construction of a 400 kV double circuit overhead power line between Czarna and Pasikurowice. In addition to the construction of the new extra-high voltage line, the scope of work also includes the dismantling of the existing line from the 1960s and the change of the entry of three other 400 kV lines to the Pasikurowice substation.
An interesting challenge for us is the dismantling of the existing 400 kV Czarna-Pasikurowice power line. This line, after nearly 60 years of operation, has very worn out structures of the rare type known as "F". It differs significantly in massiveness and stability from the commonly known and used in Poland types of 400 kV power line structures. Despite some difficulties and challenges, the joint efforts of our employees allow us to carry out the work safely, and the whole project enriches us with new experience and good practices for the future.
The investor of the construction is Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne. We anticipate completion of all construction and installation works by September 2021.
