Students from Rzeszow University of Technology in Eltel Networks Training Laboratory

Last week, in the office of Eltel Networks Energetyka SA in Widełka, we organized a training workshop, where we hosted a group of about 60 third-year students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Rzeszow University of Technology. The workshop was aimed at presenting our offer and development plans, showing the possibilities of Eltel Networks Training Lab, and extending the cooperation with Rzeszow University of Technology in terms of conducting laboratory exercises for students in the following semesters.

As part of the workshop, we conducted three practical exercises in electrical power engineering:

1. Testing of EAZ protection - discussion and presentation of the most important functions of the distance protection 7SA87
2. Testing of MV switch - presentation of possibilities of using the measuring device CIBANO 500
3. Testing of 110 kV current and voltage transformer parameters

The exercises were conducted in the form of an open dialogue, which means that the instructor performed the tests, while discussing with students the activities performed, presenting the structure and principles of operation of the tested element, or answering questions asked by young people.

In between the exercises we talked with students about getting a job at Eltel Networks, internships, gaining practical experience and choosing a career path between EAZ Automation, Operations or Project Management.
