Completion of the modernization of the 220 kV overhead power line Kozienice – Rożki
At the end of September, #EltelNetworksTeam successfully completed the modernization of the 220 kV overhead power line Kozienice – Rożki, Poland. The subject of the task was to perform the necessary modernization works, including:
- Replacement of 20 existing poles along with foundations, insulation, marking, grounding and anti-corrosion protection:
• on the double-track section: 133 and 134
• on the single-track section / track I: 94, 95, 111, 112, 113, 114, 125, 126, 127 and 128
• on the single-track section / track II: 99, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 120 and 128 - Raising 6 towers:
• on the double-track section: 28, 61, 77
• on the single-track section / track I: 106, 107 and 109 - Obtaining a transmission easement for 26 towers to be replaced or raised.
- Adjusting the sag of phase conductors in 11 sections along with anti-vibration protection.
- Replacement of the existing OPGW cable with a new 48J cable on track I (14 fiber optic sections with a total length of approx. 52.5 km).
- Replacement of the existing traditional lightning conductor with OPGW 48J on track II (14 fiber optic sections with a total length of approx. 53 km).
- Anti-corrosion protection of existing pole structures (157 positions).
- Replacement of selected insulator strings on the overhead line.
- Introduction of fiber optic routes to Kozienice and Rożki substations.
